Rob Kaleikau brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the world of professional volleyball skills training based on over 37 years of experience teaching, competing, and coaching at the local / regional / national / international levels of volleyball competition throughout the U.S., Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico.

He has participated in many volleyball events with various organizations including colleges / universities, high schools, USAV junior club teams, junior high schools, USA Volleyball, Heart of America Sports Camps, city parks and recreation programs, faith-based organizations, private fitness/health clubs, YMCA’s, and others.

Rob was a 2-time AAU volleyball high school All-American hitter / setter / all-around player and was recruited / scouted by several Division I and NAIA schools including Ohio State Univ. (Columbus, OH), Pepperdine Univ. (Malibu, CA), Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles, CA), and Graceland University (Lamoni, Iowa).  He attended Loyola on a volleyball scholarship where, as a starting freshman setter/hitter, the Lions competed in the NCAA Division I, SCIVA League, against powerhouse teams such as UCLA, USC, and UC Santa Barbara. The Lions also toured internationally to Canada and Mexico to compete against collegiate all-stars and national teams.

Transferring from Loyola to Graceland University, the Yellow Jackets became the 1978 runner-up NAIA National Champions and Rob was selected to the All-Tournament Team. The following year, Graceland captured the 1979 NAIA National Championship crown.  Rob was selected by coaches as the National Tournament Most Valuable Player and finished Graceland as a 2-time All-American, 3-time MAIVA League MVP, 3-time team MVP, and 2-time varsity captain.  Rob also won over 40 USA volleyball tournaments in his career as a player.

Founder of Rob Kaleikau Volleyball (RKV), Rob currently provides professional volleyball skills instruction and programming and has trained over 350 athletes at several facilities including Longview Recreation Center (Lee’s Summit, Mo.); New Walnut Park & Blue Valley Activity Center (Independence, Mo.); USAV Invasion Volleyball Club (Blue Springs, MO), and LifeTime Fitness Center (Overland Park, KS). The majority of athletes he trains compete on high school / jr. high / juniors club teams in Missouri and Kansas and include setters / hitters / libero & defensive specialists / all-around athletes.

Rob is an alumnus of Graceland University (Iowa), Loyola Marymount Univ. (Los Angeles, CA), University of Hawaii (Honolulu, HI), and Harvard University (Cambridge, MA).  He is professionally certified through USA Volleyball CAP I and IMPACT, American Sport Education Program, and the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Rob is a Missouri native and resides in Lee’s Summit, Mo. with his wife (Cynthia) and two children (Taylor, Jace).
