Notice to those attending games at Shawnee Mission East: Due to construction, the Mission Road entrance to the Shawnee Mission East parking lot is closed. All visitors must access the parking lot from Delmar Avenue entrance (one block west of Mission Road).    ► Directions

Coaches & Team Managers,

Please be sure to read the following information regarding the KC NIT on the Opening Ceremony plus Coach Check-in.

Mandatory Coaches Meeting & Team Check-in: Wednesday July 28th at 8:30 pm at Shawnee Mission East High School. We will go over several  aspects of the tournament that are important for you and your team, if you can’t be there, please have a team representative. We will also have a coach hospitality room available.

Team Check-In: We would like to check-in as many teams as possible Wednesday night. If you are traveling and not able to check in your team Wednesday  night, you must check-in your team before your first game at Shawnee Mission East High School. This is the only location we will do team check-ins. You cannot play your first game at another location without first checking in at Shawnee Mission East High School.

 At check-in you will need to submit a completed roster & signed parent waiver and complete outstanding registrations.   ► Wavier - PDF Format

In order to recognize players in TV Highlights we must have their names on the roster!

At check-in you will  receive:

• -2 Coaches passes- there are only 2 passes given per team, and you must have the wristband with you at all times to enter the venues. Please put it in your wallet on your bag.
   

• -Team packets: You will receive one team packet per player that includes discounts and special offers from KC Metro area businesses and attractions
   

• -Individual KC NIT Shoe bags: You will receive one KC NIT Shoe Bag per player, and 1 for a coach
   

• -Information on Coach Hospitality rooms on Saturday at each venue and
    a special Coach social night, Saturday July 31st

Opening Ceremony, Wednesday July 28th 6:30 pm at Shawnee Mission East High School

Please join us for the KC NIT Opening Ceremony we will have the following events for your players and a special weekend pass discount for all parents!

• -Parade of Teams

• -Guest Speaker-Michael Watson- International Basketball Player

• -Team Exchange (exchange an item representing your team with another team)

• -KC NIT Showcase game: 8th boys gold Elite Basketball Academy, (St. Peters, MO) v KC Sonics

• -Hot Shot Shooting Contest! Win a free meal from our concession stand!

• -All parents attending opening ceremony can purchase a weekend pass and receive a $3 discount (the opening ceremony is free, but you can save on the weekend pass price of $25.)

Sportsmanship Awards & Patrol

In an effort to promote sportsmanship and character we will be awarding players, coaches, parents or fans for showing good sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Besides our TV cameras watching the action on the court, they may also be watching you and your fans! We will have individual sportsmanship awards given to those that stand out for displaying good character on and off the court as well as a team award. Please share this information with your players and fans, you never know when our Sportsmanship Patrol will be around ready to recognize!

Admission prices:

Daily Adults $8, Students & Seniors $6

Weekend Pass Adult $25

Weekend  Pass Students & Seniors $20

Directions to Shawnee Mission East: Please pass along to your parents that due to construction you will cannot enter the HS from Mission Road, please see the website for instructions.

Bracket updates: We will be updating tournament brackets every night on this website.
