MSY - February Freeze Basketball Tourney
February 26-28, 2010 

Coaches & Team Managers,

Please read over the following carefully, it contains lots of information regarding the tournament event this weekend and will hopefully answer some of your questions.

Coaches’ Check-in & Coaches Passes:

A Coach or Team Manager from each team must check-in at least 45 minutes before your first game. At that time you can finish payment of registration, & submit completed rosters and waiver. You will be give 2 coach passes per team. You must have the passes with you to enter any tournament venue every time. If you do not show your pass you will be required to pay $5 at the door and that will be a donation to the American Red Cross.

If you don’t have team insurance, please have your parents sign the attached waiver and submit that at check-in as well.

Rules, Rosters, Registration: Read Rules

Please be sure to read the rules on-line and sign off on the rules & sportsmanship accountability form-please share the information with your parents regarding sportsmanship as well during the tournament.

True Champion Athlete Program:  View True Champion Information

In an effort to promote sportsmanship and character as part of our True Champion Athlete Program, each team will receive a t-shirt/and or award at check-in. Please give that t-shirt/award to a player from another team during the tournament that you think demonstrates good sportsmanship and character. Please see attached form for more details.

Admission:

Daily Admission $5 Adults, $3 Students & Seniors, 5 and under Free

Championship Games at College Basketball Experience:

In case your team plays in the Championship at the College Basketball Experience on Sunday-please review this information carefully & share with your parents:

1. The CBE charges its own admission to enter  -- everyone must have a ticket. We have arranged a special discounted rate of $6 for adults and students that can be purchased at the Metro Sports table at the CBE by anyone wishing to watch games or enjoy the CBE on Sunday.
    

2. If your team plays a game on Sunday to determine if they advance to the CBE, your parents can pay an additional $4 for their CBE ticket once they arrive, if they have a hand stamp and a discount voucher (these can be picked up after your game on Sunday at the admission desk)
    

3. Coaches or a  Team Manager must pick up tickets at the Metro Sports check-in table at the CBE for your team if you’re in the championship.
    

4. You will receive a ticket for each player (up to 10) and 2 coaches. If you have more than that you can purchase a ticket for $5.
    

5. Please tell your players no basketballs allowed in the CBE.

We do have information/suggestions regarding parking downtown that will be on information parents and coaches receive at the admission gate.
